Game board troubleshooting

Start with these common questions. Check the manufacturer and model before applying any instructions.

Some game boards have a button that restarts the game rather than resetting it. On Astro game boards, use the on-screen settings and follow the Game Reset instructions to reset the game.

The old cabinet harness may not match the replacement board. The original support guidance identifies certain IGS boards as requiring changes to the harness jumpers at pins 4, 5, and 6 on the parts side of the 36-pin connector.

This is model-specific guidance. Contact technical support with the board model and a clear connector photo to confirm the correct wiring before making changes.

Password settings vary by manufacturer. For Astro and Amcoe games, call American Alpha for assistance with the preset password. Dyna games use a user-specified password; the original support guidance states that a forgotten password requires the game to be returned for a reset. Contact support to arrange the next step.

Version list checked against American Alpha’s support records on September 11, 2026.

For game boards covered by the Master Panda update guidance, compare your game title and installed firmware with the version list above. If you are unsure whether this procedure applies to your board, call technical support.

  1. Record your accounting information. Keep a copy for your records.
  2. Record your settings. Write them down or take photos.
  3. Power off the machine. Connect an Ethernet cable with Internet access to the game board.
  4. Turn the machine back on. The board will automatically check for and download the firmware update.
  5. Allow the installation to finish. It may take several minutes. Do not turn off the machine during the update.
  6. Confirm the new version. When the new firmware version appears on screen, select OK to finish.

For update assistance, call 732-438-0420.
